predictions for 2008

Part-time magician Peter Hopkins was dismissed for gross misconduct after being caught working his magic at a christening party whilst signed off sick from his full-time job.

Hopkins obviously did not count crystal ball gazing and mind reading in his repertoire of magic tricks as an HR Advisor from his employer was an invited guest at the event. The Tribunal was reassuringly unimpressed with his defence which claimed that he had been given medical advice that his stress-related illness would benefit from working at the party rather than in the office.
