New code on discipline and grievance

Acas has published it’s revised draft code of practice for discipline and grievance for further consultation before next April’s implementation.

Admirably brief, the code makes several common sense provisions which largely comply with best practice, although one retrograde step is that there is no longer a requirement for an employee to raise a grievance in writing prior to lodging a Tribunal claim.
