A survey by PricewaterhouseCoopers shows that staff value the ability to balance their work commitments with time off more than increased income.
47% of the 1,200 UK workers surveyed ranked flexible working as the most important benefit with performance-related bonuses a long way behind in second place at 19%. Pensions were seen as a prize perk by 15% of the survey with social activities and paid training and development bottom on 6%.
